LEDMAU5 is the controller for a 753-pixel LED head: 608 pixels in the face and 72 in each ear. Firmware on the PCB renders every effect locally and listens to the room through an on-board microphone. A browser app composes the look over Bluetooth.

Reacts to the beat
Microphone audio goes through a 512-point FFT for beat detection and spectrum bars.

Connect the head to its rated external supply. The board renders effects on its own.

Open the app in Chrome or Edge and pick the device named LEDMAU5.
Compose
Choose an effect for each layer, tune it, and save the result as a preset.
Compose light, layer by layer.
Pick an effect for the eyes, mouth, ears and background, tune each one, and watch the head respond live.
